the most trusted voices in ag media today is that
of Max Armstrong. He’s been seen and heard by
millions, bringing the news to farmers and sharing their story with
the rest of the world for more than 30 years. In this episode Dean
turns the tables on the famed ag journalist, allowing him to answer
the questions for a change. Hear Max’s perspective on various
topics in agriculture and the business of farming through the lens
of his rural Indiana upbringing and his decades of farm
broadcasting experience.

In three decades of broadcasting, Max Armstrong has originated broadcasts from all 50 states and 30 different foreign nations. He has twice received the Oscar In Agriculture and has been awarded the highest honors by the National Agri-Marketing Association, the American Agricultural Editors Association and the National Association of Farm Broadcasters. In 2002 he was given the highest civilian honor presented by the Governor of Indiana, the Sagamore Of The Wabash Award. In 2016, Max earned a plaque on the WGN Radio Walk of Fame in Chicago for 32 years of full-time broadcasting with WGN Radio. Max is currently director of broadcasting for Farm Progress Companies. He produces and hosts two radio programs and a short daily feature on the Tribune Radio Network; he also co-hosts “This Week in Agribusiness” with Orion Samuelson on RFD-TV.
